Charleston Area Medical Center Health System Wins National Award

The Radiation Oncology Services at Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) is proud to be part of the Charleston Area Medical Center Health System and congratulates them on being a recipient of the 2015 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

The Baldrige Award, established by Congress in 1987, recognizes companies for their outstanding commitment to sustainable excellence through innovation, improvement, and visionary leadership.  The award is America’s highest honor for innovation and performance excellence, and is presented annually to U.S. organizations by the office of the President of the United States.

Awards are given to companies in manufacturing, service, small business, education, health care, and nonprofit sectors.  In conjunction with the private sector, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) manages the award and the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.

CAMC Health System was one of only four recipients, the only health care winner, and the first and only organization in West Virginia to ever receive the honor.

A ceremony honoring the recipients of the award was held April 3 – 6, 2016 at The 28th Annual Quest for Excellence® Conference and Award Ceremony at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is a very prestigious honor bestowed upon companies that are at the top of their industry.  The Radiation Oncology Services at CAMC is proud to work alongside such dedicated employees and physicians that work tirelessly every day to provide outstanding care and service to our patients, their families, and our community.
